South Lake Tahoe, Calif.-based Barton Health has renewed its partnership as an official medical provider for U.S. Ski & Snowboard, the national governing body of Olympic and Paralympic skiing and snowboarding, continuing a relationship that spans more than 15 years.

The health system’s orthopedic specialists, athletic trainers and rehabilitation staff support elite athletes at national training camps, World Cup events and other high-level competitions. Barton’s Center for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is a U.S. Ski & Snowboard Certified Center of Excellence, reflecting its capabilities in surgical care, rehabilitation and sports performance according to a Jan. 28 system news release.

Participation in the organization’s medical pool requires advanced certification and training. The expertise developed through Barton’s work with Olympic-level athletes also benefits the broader Lake Tahoe community, according to the release.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
