Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center in Sioux Falls, S.D., has received advanced hip and knee certification from DNV.
Certified hospitals and medical centers comply with DNV standards and guidelines from the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, according to an April 1 news release from Avera.
Orthopedic surgeons at Avera utilize minimally invasive and robotic-assisted techniques to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
“In order to receive the certification, every member of our staff has to be aligned with a common goal of safety and success and I love how that translates to a team approach to excellence,” Dustin Bechtold, MD, Avera orthopedic surgeon and medical director for the DNV program, said in the release. “We will continue to monitor, adjust and ensure that every patient trusting their care to us gets the best that modern joint replacement has to offer.”
At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
