Auburn Community Hospital welcomes Dr. Brian Tallerico: 3 details

Brian Tallerico, DO, joined the team of orthopedic specialists at Auburn (N.Y.) Community Hospital, according to The Citizen.

Here are three things to know:

1. Dr. Tallerico specializes in sports injuries, arthritic joints, fracture and hand surgery, arthroscopy and hip and knee replacements.

2. After earning his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Downers Grove, Ill.-based Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Tallerico completed a residency at Columbus-based The Ohio State University and a fellowship in knee reconstruction and arthroplasty at Goble Clinic in Logan, Utah.

3. Dr. Tallerico served as an active-duty U.S. Navy surgeon in Bremerton, Wash., from 2002 to 2006.
