Three things to know:
1. The time from check-in to check-out is now 45 minutes, McLeod orthopedic surgeon Thomas DiStefano, MD, told The Laurinburg. He said patient feedback has been “overwhelmingly positive.”
2. Under the waiting room-free approach, patients are prepped over the phone before visiting McLeod. Upon entering the clinic, they’re immediately taken to a patient room, where they can fill out any additional information necessary.
3. McLeod did away with the waiting room to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, but the strategy has also improved patient flow and practice availability.
“We have committed to a stricter adherence to our schedule, and a direct result of that work is greater access for new and existing patient appointments, which translates into better convenience for patients,” Dr. DiStefano said.
