Ashe Memorial Hospital opens orthopedic surgery, sports medicine clinic

Jefferson, N.C.-based Ashe Memorial Hospital has opened Ashe Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine, according to a Nov. 27 report by Ashe Post & Times.

The clinic will be led by Douglas Turgeon, MD, an orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine physician with more than 35 years of experience. He specializes in general orthopedic surgery, sports medicine and total joint replacements. 

Before joining Ashe Memorial, Dr. Turgeon owned an orthopedic surgery and sports medicine practice in Dallas. 

Ashe Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine is located on Ashe Memorial Hospital’s Jefferson campus, the report said.
