Arthritis Foundation honors Dr. William Jay Bryan

The Arthritis Foundation honored William Jay Bryan, MD, with the Medical Honoree Award, according to a Your Houston report.

Dr. Bryan is an orthopedic surgeon with Texas Medical Center in Houston, where he has practiced for more than 34 years. He also serves as a clinical professor in the Houston Methodist Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Department and taught orthopedics courses to physical therapy students.

During his career, Dr. Bryan served as the Houston Astros baseball team physician for more than 20 years and president of the Major League Baseball Physician’s Association.

Dr. Bryan completed his residency at Baylor College of Medicine and finished a fellowship in arthritis surgery at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City.
