Washington Regional in Fayetteville, Ark., has received a Gold Seal of Approval for advanced total hip and knee replacement from The Joint Commission.
The certification, awarded by The Joint Commission in collaboration with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, examines the entire joint replacement process, from pre-surgical consultations to surgical procedures to rehabilitation, according to an Oct. 3 news release from the hospital.
Both conventional and robotic-assisted elective hip and knee replacement surgery are provided at Washington Regional Total Joint Center.
The hospital is one of only three in Arkansas to hold advanced certification for hip and knee replacement from The Joint Commission, the release said.
At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
