Arizona hospital launches orthopedics program — 3 things to know

Flagstaff (Ariz.) Medical Center launched an orthopedics program, competing with Northern Arizona Orthopaedics and Flagstaff Bone & Joint for clients in the city, reports Arizona Daily Sun.

Three things to know:

1. Flagstaff-based Northern Arizona Healthcare established the program two months ago with the addition of neurosurgeon Stephen Ritland, MD.

2. Two orthopedic surgeons and brothers — Scott Gibson, MD, and Peter Gibson, MD — joined the medical team this week.

3. Two more orthopedic surgeons are joining the Flagstaff center in the coming weeks, bringing NAH’s total to nine in the region.
