Dr. Gobbato used the Apple headset to assist him during the procedure to treat a patient with a rotator cuff tear.

Apple’s headset is used as a logistics and organizational tool for managing surgical procedures.

The device has been gaining traction in the orthopedic space worldwide over the last several months, recently completing its first spinal operation in the United Kingdom and its first spine and shoulder surgeries in the U.S.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
