The American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons elected orthopedic surgeon Anthony Romeo, MD, as vice president.

1. Board-certified in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Romeo specializes in the management and surgical treatment of shoulder and elbow issues.

 

2. He performs rotator cuff repairs such as revision repairs using arthroscopic techniques.

 

3. Additionally, Dr. Romeo designed and developed an advanced shoulder replacement system for arthritis treatment. He teaches and lectures about various advanced surgical techniques throughout the nation and the world.

 

4. His research interests include clinical evaluation of rotator cuff repair, clinical evaluation of shoulder stabilization and biomechanical and anatomical analysis of the biceps tendon.

 

5. He completed his shoulder and elbow surgery fellowship at Seattle-based University of Washington Medical Center.
