Here are five key points:
1. The new journal will offer information on orthopedic care and treatment of foot and ankle conditions.
2. Specifically, FAO will publish scholarly articles on ankle trauma, sports conditions and reconstructive techniques as well as touch on how innovative technology will help treat these conditions.
3. The new journal will feature peer-reviewed original and clinical research articles, meta-analyses, systematic and topical reviews, case reviews, relevant topics, research designs and technique tips.
4. L. Daniel Latt, MD, PhD, will serve as FAO’s editor-in-chief.
5. AOFAS already has its flagship journal, Foot & Ankle International.
“Our goal is to create a high-quality journal that contains a broad range of scholarly articles, and it should be of particular interest for young scientists and international investigators,” said Dr. Latt.
