The American Orthopaedic Association selected five physicians as its 2027 American-British-Canadian Traveling Fellows:

  • Kelly Hynes, MD: Washington University School of Medicine (St. Louis.)
  • J. Benjamin Jackson, MD: University of South Carolina School of Medicine (Columbia)
  • Amit Jain, MD: Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (Baltimore)
  • Gabriella Ode, MD: Hospital for Special Surgery (New York City)
  • Jason Strelzow, MD: Washington University School of Medicine (St. Louis)

Selection for the AOA’s Traveling Fellowships recognizes young leaders for their early contributions to orthopedics and is designed to develop leadership skills, connect fellows with orthopedic leaders and fellowship alumni, prepare fellows for leadership challenges, and confront critical issues affecting the specialty.

During odd years, five Americans and two Canadians visit orthopedic centers in either the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand, or the United Kingdom and South Africa, for four-to-five weeks.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery. Apply for complimentary registration now.
