Allan Golston to retire from Stryker board

Stryker board of directors member Allan Golston plans to retire from his post following 14 years with the company.

Mr. Golston will not stand for re-election when Stryker’s shareholders meet on May 8, according to a Feb. 10 news release from the company. 

He joined Stryker 2011 and served as independent lead director from 2016 to 2022. He also served on the governance and nominating committee and as chair of the compensation and human capital and audit committees.

In addition to his role with Stryker, Mr. Golston has served as president of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation since 2006, the release said.

He is also a director of Harley-Davidson and a certified public accountant.
