The patient had been working with two other surgeons at SPH, Brent Adcox, MD, and Kurt Mentzer, MD, who connected him to Dr. Matkin for the procedure, according to a Feb. 3 press release.

Dr. Matkin primarily practices in Anchorage, but travels to Homer twice a month to treat hip patients. He joins Dr. Adcox and Dr. Mentzer, who practice at SPH full time.
