AAOS to launch open-access online journal: 3 things to know

The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons is developing an open-access journal titled JAAOS: Global Research & Reviews.

This new publication, only available online, is a companion journal to the established Journal of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, also known as JAAOS.

 

Here’s what you need to know:

 

1. The journal will be published by Wolters Kluwer and led by Editor-in-Chief William N. Levine, MD, and Research Editor Jeffrey S. Fischgrund, MD.

 

2. The journal will publish original research and review articles each month, related to the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions.

 

3. The journal will emphasize content directed at an international audience and will focus on submissions from authors outside North America.
