The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons is continuing to improve its registry program, integrating Epic’s cloud-based Community Registries.
The platform will make it easier for health systems to participate in the American Joint Replacement Registry in 2026, which provides more information in real time to improve patient care, according to a Sept. 4 news release from the AAOS.
For sites participating in the AJRR, Epic’s technology will allow for improved clinical decision-making, quality and operational efficiency and patient outcomes.
The AAOS Registry Program is the largest national registry of hip and knee joint replacement data, with more than 4 million procedures in its database, the release said.
