AAOS receives continuing medical education accreditation with commendation: 3 takeaways

The Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education has recognized the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons for its continuing medical education programming.

Here’s what you need to know:

 

1. AAOS received an accreditation with commendation from ACCME for its programs, including webinars, the academy’s annual meeting and in-person and online courses.

 

2. AAOS staff worked for more than 18 months to ensure its programs met all requirements; as part of the recognition, ACCME noted that AAOS demonstrated compliance in all criteria and accreditation policies.

 

3. This AACME accreditation is effective through November 2022.
