AAOS pledges $100k to research initiative

The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons pledged $100,000 to support research from the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.

The partnership is centered on the society’s upcoming 50th anniversary research initiative, according to an April 29 news release.

Incoming academy president Kurt Spindler, MD, is leading the research and will establish parameters for the initiative. The academy will be involved in workshopping the initiative.
