AAOS names Dr. Gerald Williams first VP

The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons named Gerald R. Williams, Jr., MD, its first vice president.

Dr. Williams is currently the John M. Fenlin, Jr., MD, Professor of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery at The Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. He completed a fellowship in shoulder surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He has previously served on the AAOS’ board of directors and has been chair of the AAOS Continuing Medical Education Courses Committee.
