AANA recognizes Dr. Steven Wertheim as leader in arthroscopy

The Arthroscopy Association of North America named orthopedic surgeon Steven Wertheim, MD, of Atlanta-based Resurgens Orthopaedics a Distinguished Arthroscopy Leader, reports Cobb Business Journal.

Four things to know:

1. Dr. Wertheim was one of 21 physicians in the U.S. honored on the list for his education, research, dedication to enhancing patient outcomes and achievements in the advancement of arthroscopy.

2. He specializes in elbow, knee, shoulder and sports medicine.

3. Dr. Wertheim earned his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. He completed a residency at University Hospitals of Cleveland and a fellowship in spots medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

4. He is a member of the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Arthroscopy Association of North America and U.S. Olympic Committee Sports Medicine Society among others.
