Dr. Clothiaux died of natural causes Feb. 18. He first completed his orthopedic residency at Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic before a fellowship at Harvard University under Gus White at Beth-Israel Hospital in Boston.
He first began practicing in Auburn-Opelika, Mo., prior to moving to Springfield, where he practiced for 40 years.
He was a surgeon at Cox Health’s Ferrell Duncan Clinic at the time of his death.
