Macon-based OrthoGeorgia has earned accreditation from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care for total joint replacement and complex spine care.
The accreditation process includes an evaluation of the organization's adherence to evidence-based clinical practice guidelines, continuous use of performance improvement strategies and the strength of its organizational infrastructure, according to a Feb. 3 news release sent to Becker's.
OrthoGeorgia underwent an on-site survey conducted by experienced clinical surveyors specializing in ambulatory orthopedics, who reviewed the practice from pre- assessment through discharge and rehabilitation.
AAAHC was founded in 1979 and accredits over 6,100 organizations, from ASCs to office-based surgery facilities.
