State College, Pa.-based Penn State Health has added Teresa Swenson as administrative vice president of musculoskeletal services.
Ms. Swenson, who joined the organization on Dec. 16, has three decades of orthopedic and healthcare leadership experience, according to a Jan. 15 press release.
She will oversee strategic initiatives for the musculoskeletal service line, alongside physician leader April Armstrong, MD, chair of the department of orthopaedics and rehabilitation at Penn State Health.
She will collaborate with system hospitals and medical groups to implement new strategies and she will also ensure that actions put in place support the teaching and research missions of Penn State.

In 2023, she led Evangelical Community Hospital to an orthopedic center of excellence designation. She also previously served as director of Geisinger's Musculoskeletal Institute and manager of its department of orthopedics in Danville, Pa.
