Maxx Orthopedics earns clearance for knee replacement insert

Maxx Orthopedics earned FDA clearance for its medial congruent insert for the Freedom total knee system, according to a Dec. 5 news release.

The medial congruent insert has features that better replicate natural knee function and motion. It has updated anterior sliding, lateral rollback and external rotation, along with medial stability and stability in extension.

It will be available for clinical use in early 2025.
