Boston Orthopaedic and Spine 1st in state to partner with Hurt! app

Boston Orthopaedic and Spine has become the first practice in Massachusetts to partner with the Hurt! app to provide patients with 24/7 access to care, according to a Nov. 18 report from WBZ.

Hurt! allows patients to submit photos of an injury directly to the app and receive a diagnosis directly from a physician or physician’s assistant. If necessary, patients can be referred to an orthopedic surgeon for further action.

The app boasts quick turnaround times and less expense, as fewer patients will have to go to urgent care facilities in person.

Oftentimes, ER physicians are not orthopedic specialists and are not as familiar with musculoskeletal injuries, according to the report.

The app is available to use 24/7 and is free for Boston Orthopaedic patients.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery. Apply for complimentary registration now.
