Drs. Venkata Evani, James Carr operate on New York Mets player

Tyrone Taylor, an outfielder for the New York Mets, recently underwent two separate procedures, according to a Nov. 8 report by espn.com.

Venkata Evani, MD, a general surgeon at Banner Health University Medical Center Phoenix, performed an umbilical hernia repair on Mr. Taylor on Oct. 30 in Phoenix.

James Carr, MD, an orthopedic surgeon at the Sports Medicine Institute at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, performed a right elbow loose body removal on Mr. Taylor on Nov. 7.

The team said that the recovery time for the procedures is about two months.
