The system aims to improve stability, enhance performance and increase efficiency in treating orthopedic trauma and injuries, according to an Oct. 10 news release.

The Volt’s mechanism uses tightly toleranced screw hole threads to improve plate-to-screw engagement as opposed to screw threads that cut into the plates for locking.

The Volt Plating System includes a range of plate shapes and lengths, as well as screw lengths to accommodate different fracture reduction and fixation needs.

The Volt Mini and Small Fragment Plating Systems have received clearance from the FDA and are available for commercial use. The Volt Distal Radius and Proximal Humerus Plating Systems are expected to be released in 2025, the release said.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
