Law firm investigating claims following orthopedic data breach

Law firm Wolf Haldenstein Adler Freeman & Herz is investigating claims on behalf of patients who may have had data stolen in Access Sports Medicine & Orthopedics’ data breach, according to a Sept. 19 news release.

The Exeter, N.H., practice notified patients of the data breach that was discovered in May. Employees discovered suspicious activity in the practice’s network on May 10 and took measures to secure it. After an investigation, the practice learned an unauthorized party accessed some files.

Access Sports Medicine & Orthopedics didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment from Becker’s.
