Previously, patients in Lumberton had to travel out of the county to receive orthopedic treatments.

Orthopedic surgeons James Slauterbeck, MD, and Temitope Adebayo, MD, joined the system to help create a high-quality orthopedics center in a rural setting, according to the report.

Dr. Slauterbeck has decades of experience working at medical schools across the country, and Dr. Adebayo recently completed a fellowship at Duke University in Durham, N.C.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
