Dr. Peterson will begin his work at the practice at the end of August, focusing on shoulder and elbow issues, including outpatient shoulder arthroplasty at Badia’s adjacent ASC at Doral (Fla.), according to an Aug. 18 press release sent to Becker’s.

He will also be a supervising surgeon for Badia’s OrthoNOW walk-in clinics in Miami.

Dr. Peterson trained at New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery and Columbia University and New York Presbyterian Hospital, with a special interest in shoulder arthritis and joint replacement surgery, according to the release.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
