The application will offer Rothman’s patients free access to orthopedic specialists around the clock, every day of the year, according to a July 15 news release.
With the Hurt! application, patients can send photos, videos and messages to orthopedic specialists 24/7 and receive an instant response. Orthopedists can then recommend follow-up care with network partners or a visit to the emergency room in urgent situations.
The app can accommodate injuries from tears or pops in the shoulder; elbow or wrist injuries that occur during regular daily movement; and pain and swelling around the knee or ankle after twisting, stepping wrong or falling.
