6 orthopedic surgeon moves in April

Here are six orthopedic surgeons who joined new practices or gained new titles in April:

1. The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons named Peter Rose, MD, editor-in-chief of the Journal of the AAOS.

2. Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wyoming added Mark Ryzewicz, MD, to its board of directors.

3. Foot and ankle surgeon Greg Berlet, MD, has been appointed CMO of MedShape, an orthopedic device company in Atlanta.

4. Orthopedic surgeon and orthopedic oncologist Rajiv Rajani, MD, has been appointed chair of orthopedics at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso.

5. Thomas Throckmorton, MD, has been appointed editor-in-chief of OrthoInfo.org, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons’ patient education website.

6. Cincinnati-based UC Health named Michael Archdeacon, MD, the next CEO of its physician group.
