The Total Shoulder Specialist Rewards Program provides clinicians data and analytics, with the opportunity to receive additional payment for achieving two goals — improved outcomes and reduced costs stemming from site of care selection.

Humana also has a value-based program for spinal fusion and total hip and knee replacement.

The first six participants in the shoulder surgery program are: Florida Orthopaedic Institute in Tampa; Lebanon, Ohio-based OrthoCincy Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine; Wilmington, N.C.-based EmergeOrtho; Charlotte, N.C.-based OrthoCarolina; and Knoxville-based OrthoTennessee and Tennessee Orthopaedic Clinics.
