Dr. Corey Jackson 1st to use newest generation of ExactechGPS

Corey Jackson, MD, a surgeon at Zanesville, Ohio-based Genesis Orthopedic Center, has become the first surgeon to use the newest generation of ExactechGPS hardware and technology, according to a June 17 report from the Zanesville Times Recorder.

Dr. Jackson performed a total knee replacement using the new technology. It is designed to provide physicians with improved system responsiveness and connectivity, and uses proprietary active tracker technology.

Exactech GPS enables surgeons to more precisely align implants, giving patients an overall improved joint function, the report said.
