10 common orthopedic, spine ASC outpatient procedures


Knee arthroscopies, hip replacements and injections for back pain are three of 10 common outpatient procedures performed at orthopedic and spine ASCs, according to U.S. News & World Report.

The publication listed many of the most common procedures performed at ASCs across multiple specialties, including gastroenterology, orthopedic and spine, eye surgery and urology.

Here are 10 of the most common outpatient procedures that are performed at orthopedic and spine ASCs:

  • Fracture or dislocation treatment of the arm, wrist and hand
  • Injection for back pain
  • Knee arthroscopy
  • Hip replacement
  • Knee replacement
  • Spinal fusion
  • Fracture or dislocation treatment lower leg, ankle and foot
  • Fracture or dislocation knee treatment
  • Shoulder arthroscopy for rotator cuff repair
  • Total shoulder replacement
