HSS has been the official care partner of the team for 19 seasons, and the extension will add five more years to the partnership, according to the report.
HSS-based physicians will continue to provide in-house orthopedic and primary player care for Liberty players. Benedict Nwachukwu, MD, a sports medicine surgeon at HSS, serves as Liberty’s head team physician.
HSS is the longest-standing corporate partner of the New York Liberty, one of three original WNBA franchises.
