Launched in partnership with AI-powered medical transcription and speech analysis product Hannibal AI, OrthoScribe is currently used by over 100 orthopedic surgeons, according to an April 25 press release.
It is designed to capture and transcribe clinical conversations, converting them into comprehensive notes for a clinician’s electronic health record system.
Its real-time transcription feature allows for immediate review and editing, voice commands enable hands-free navigation and task execution, and the mobile application allows clinicians to document data from a smartphone.
Orthopedic surgeons, on average, dedicate six to eight hours per week to medical documentation, translating to nearly 39 full workdays annually, according to the release.
OrthoScribe currently provides industry-specific documentation for orthopedic surgeons, with plans to expand into additional medical fields, including urology, dermatology and gastroenterology. It is SOC 2 and HIPAA compliant, and the mobile application is available on the Apple Store and within the Athena marketplace.
It was developed by Dr. Dhulipala alongside Paul Wallace and Levi Perkins, co-founders of Hannibal AI and OrthoScribe.
