Dr. Keith Meister to operate on Cleveland Guardians pitcher

Cleveland Guardians right-hand pitcher Shane Bieber is expected to have ulnar collateral ligament reconstruction, Yahoo Sports reported April 7.

Keith Meister, MD, is slated to perform the season-ending surgery, the report said. It hasn’t been scheduled yet.

Mr. Bieber began feeling elbow pain during his opening day start, and it continued in his second appearance.
