Dr. Neal ElAttrache to operate on Indiana Pacers player

Orthopedic

Neal ElAttrache, MD, is set to perform shoulder surgery on Bennedict Mathurin, a player for the Indiana Pacers.

The surgery is to repair a torn labrum in Mr. Mathurin's right shoulder and will take place in Los Angeles, according to a March 9 news release from the Pacers.

Mr. Mathurin will miss the rest of this NBA season but is expected to make a full recovery before the start of the 2024-25 season.

Dr. ElAttrache is the head team physician for the Los Angeles Rams, an NFL team, and the Los Angeles Dodgers, the city's MLB franchise. He also serves as an orthopedic consultant to two NHL teams — the Los Angeles Kings and Anaheim Ducks — as well as the NBA's Los Angeles Lakers.
