Myrtle Beach, S.C.-based OrthoSC has partnered with the Hurt! mobile application to provide patients with one-on-one emergency care and consultations.

The app connects patients with bone, joint or muscle injuries to local orthopedic providers for immediate care, according to a March 1 press release sent to Becker’s.

Surgeons from one of OrthoSC’s locations will then contact patients for follow-up care needs. Hurt allows patients real-time, 24/7 access to care navigators, enabling them to avoid costly emergency room visits.

OrthoSC is the 15th orthopedic group in the country to partner with the app.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
