Killeen-based AdventHealth-Central Texas has added a new orthopedic Hana Table, which provides surgeons with more precise positioning and flexibility during hip replacements and other orthopedic procedures, according to a Jan. 12 report from the Killeen Daily Herald.
AdventHealth orthopedic surgeon Safa Fassihi, MD, brought the need for the table to the AdventHealth board, who made its purchase possible through fundraising efforts.
The table allows for various positions, including an anterior approach to hip replacements. It allows anterior hip procedures to be performed safely and effectively, providing optimal patient outcomes.
