“As a result of my unremarkable high school football career, it was determined that I needed a full knee replacement for my left knee. I’m grateful to the medical staff at Rush for today’s successful procedure and my new knee. I look forward to getting back to Washington as soon as possible,” Mr. Durbin said in an Oct. 10 press release.
He will remain in Illinois until he is cleared for travel to Washington,D.C., by his physician, according to the release.
