10 NFL players suffering orthopedic injuries in the 2023 season

As the 2023-24 NFL season enters its fifth week, several players have already been sidelined with orthopedic-related injuries. 

Here are 10 players suffering orthopedic injuries so far this season: 

Editor's note: This is not an exhaustive list of all player injuries.

1. Aaron Rodgers, a player for the New York Jets, injured his Achilles in the first week of the 2023 NFL season. He was operated on by Neal ElAttrache, MD. 

2. Nick Chubb, a player for the Cleveland Browns, faced a knee injury that ended his sixth NFL season. 

3. Saquon Barkley, a player for the New York Giants, suffered an ankle sprain. 

4. Alex Wright, a player for the Cleveland Browns, suffered an injury in a preseason practice game and received an arthroscopic knee operation from James Voos, MD. 

5. Isaiah Thomas, a player for the Cleveland Browns, suffered an injury during practice. He also received an arthroscopic knee operation from Dr. Voos. 

6. Tre'Davious White, a player for the Buffalo Bills, had to be carted off the field in a week-four game after receiving an Achilles injury. 

7. Parker Washington, a player for the Jacksonville Jaguars, suffered a knee injury Oct. 1 and is not expected to return to play for a week. 

8. Matthew Stafford, a player for the Los Angeles Rams, suffered a hip injury in a game against the Indianapolis Colts but does not expect to miss any games. 

9. Morgan Moses, a player for the Baltimore Ravens, was taken off the field following a shoulder injury. He has not missed a game since signing with the Ravens in 2022. 

10. Donte Jackson, a player for the Carolina Panthers, was taken off the field during a game following a shoulder injury.
