Value-based care program provider ValueHealth has expanded its Muve Orthopedics program through a partnership with Orange, Ohio-based Northern Ohio Surgery Center.
The ASC has plans to move to the Cleveland Orthopedic & Spine Institute in Mayfield Heights, Ohio, according to a Sept. 26 press release.
Northern Ohio is adding Muve to enhance the patient experience and improve quality outcomes, according to the release. The program will be available to patients in the fourth quarter of 2023.
The Muve program delivers pre-, peri- and post-procedure care through a patient engagement platform that integrates the entire episode of patient care, not just the surgical procedure. It enables a high level of data collection, leading to improved outcomes.
Muve also helps payers, offering orthopedic procedures under risk-based bundles with 90 day warranties. The value-based payment model provides lower average costs per procedure compared to fee-for-service models.
Northern Ohio's four board-certified orthopedic surgeons will use Muve for outpatient total joint and spine procedures.
