The ASC is the first in southern California to add the device, which is designed for arthroscopic procedures, according to a news release.
The ArthroFree camera doesn’t need cords and eliminates a source of distraction during procedures. Orthopedic surgeon Chris Proctor, MD, is trained to use the device at the ASC.
“We’ve been impressed by the ArthroFree System,” Dr. Proctor said in the release. “Not having wires around makes for a safer and more efficient operating room. The staff loves it because it’s quicker to set up and take down. I think wireless is the future.”
At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
