Orthopedic surgeon Steven Jones, MD, is joining the team at North Oaks Orthopaedic Specialty Center in Hammond, La.
Dr. Jones will begin seeing new patients at the center Sept. 18, according to an Aug. 9 press release sent to Becker's.
He specializes in sports medicine and athletic injuries, including shoulder, knee, elbow and hip reconstruction. Dr. Jones is a third-generation physician and surgeon, according to the release.
Previously, Dr. Jones served as a team physician for the Stanford (Calif.) University baseball and football teams, the Denver Public Schools football teams, the San Francisco 49ers football team, Oakland Athletics baseball team and San Jose Earthquakes soccer team.
He is also a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Medical Association, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy Association of North America.
