Persona IQ combines Persona’s personalized knee implant with implantable sensor technology, according to a May 16 news release from the health system.

The implantable sensors record and wirelessly transmit gait data from the knee implant to a patient’s personalized at-home base station to track pre- and postoperative mobility.

John Dundon, MD, an orthopedic surgeon affiliated with Morristown Medical Center, was the first orthopedic surgeon in New Jersey to perform surgery with the smart knee implant.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
