John Peden, MD, performed the first case January 18 at Vero’s The Advanced Center for Surgery. His patient was a 14-year-old girl who tore her ACL while playing soccer. The girl is healing and is working to return to soccer by next season.
Dr. Peden is the first surgeon in Florida’s Indian River County to use the Bear implant. The implant leverages a patient’s own blood to repait the ACL.
At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
