He is is a trustee on two committees: quality and safety and finance, according to a March 21 feature from the health system.
“What I’ve enjoyed the most is getting to know these people, the relationships we’ve established together and being able to see how the executive team has grown and developed as true leaders of a big system,” Dr. Lundeen said in the feature.
On the committees, Dr. Lundeen helps make operational decisions with other trustees. He said his experience as an orthopedic surgeon has helped bring a unique perspective to the table.
“The background in a surgical subspecialty that I have is important for the board to understand because we view medical problems differently, we solve problems differently, our gratification is different,” he said.
