Dr. Jeffrey DeClaire reaches 30,000 knee surgeries

Jeffrey DeClaire, MD, founder of the Michigan Knee Institute in Rochester Hills, has performed 30,000 knee surgeries in his 30 years of practice.

Dr. DeClaire is a pioneer in minimally invasive, robotic-assisted total knee replacements, performing and offers arthroscopy, ligament reconstruction, cartilage restoration and outpatient total and partial knee replacements, according to a Feb. 28 news release from the practice. 

Dr. DeClaire was the first surgeon in the world to use the OmniBotics system for robot-assisted knee procedures, the release said.
